Socratic Seminars are Ongoing....

Image result for power

6th graders have been practicing mini seminars on power and collecting information as collaborative groups on sustainability. This co-teaching mini-unit involves a final "Seminar Smackdown" where teams send members to the middle to discuss the power humans have as they interact with their environment. Very scholarly!

Ongoing Creative Writing

Mrs. Rudder has recently been utilizing "Vocabulary Riddle" Poetry for critical immersion in vocabulary.

Currently she is working with 6th Grade EL Language Arts and vocabulary from FRIGHTFUL'S MOUNTAIN.

8th graders have been immersed in this creative process also with THE OMNIVORE'S DILEMMA.
